Patricia "Pat" Ellen (England) Porter

Patricia "Pat" Ellen Porter, 81 years old, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Pat was born September 26, 1941 in Canton, Georgia to the late Joseph and Myrtle England. She grew up in Mobile, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Richard W. Porter.

She is survived by her Children, Paige Porter Andrews and her husband Chip Andrews, Richard William Porter Jr and his wife Kim Porter and Christopher James Porter and his wife Arlinda Porter; Grandchildren, Alexandria Mayfield, Victoria Thomas, William Andrews, Emma Porter, Trip Porter, Patrick Porter, Preston Porter, Addy Porter and Phillip Porter ; Great-grandchildren, Iris Thomas, Jameson Mayfield and Walter Thomas ; Siblings, Betty Dalby, Barbara Davison, Jody England, Susan England and Jackie Howard.

Patricia had a master's degree in education and taught for over 30 years. She loved cheering on her husband's basketball teams and often kept the books for him. She and Richard loved traveling, family beach trips and hosting family dinners. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren's sporting events and recitals. She also was an accomplished seamstress and painter which was reflected in her beautiful home decor. Pat spent her days taking wonderful care of Richard, caring for her beautiful potted plants and spending time with family and friends.

Patricia's family will welcome friends and family on Friday, December 2, 2022 beginning at 12:30 p.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 1:00 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, located at 3740 Holtzclaw Road in Cumming, Georgia. A reception will be held after the Funeral Mass at the home of Paige and Chip Andrews. A private family Inurnment will take place on Monday, December 5th at 4 p.m.
