Patricia Ann Morphis, Obituary

Patricia Ann Morphis (84), a longtime resident of Gainesville, Georgia passed away peacefully at AccentCare on December 27, 2023 with family by her side.

Patricia, fondly known as Pat, was born to Myrtle and Lloyd McCarty on September 6, 1939 and grew up in Attapulgus, Georgia.

Pat is survived by her husband of sixty-one years, Roy Morphis of Gainesville, GA; her only son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Kimberly Morphis of Buford, GA; her sister, Joan Candeto of Marietta, Georgia; her nephew and his wife, Dan and Sarah Candeto of Marietta, GA; her nephew, his wife and daughter, JJ, Lisa and Lindsey Davis of Woodstock, GA; her great nephew and his wife, Keith and Brandy Candeto of Omaha, NE; her brother-in-law and his wife, Larry and Wanda Morphis of Star City, AR; and her sister-in-law, Mary Ann Morphis of Monticello, AR. She leaves behind her only grandson, Wesley Morphis and his wife, Allison of Jacksonville, FL.

Pat was a wonderful wife, mother, faithful servant of Jesus, homemaker, cook, avid reader and gardener. Her favorite pastime was spending time with Jesus and her Bible every morning to start her day. Her greatest joy was spoiling her family with homemade meals and sharing her delicious cooking with her love ones in her kitchen.

The family has held a small, private immediate family gathering after which Pat was cremated.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made American Cancer Society and American Kidney Fund.
