Patricia Meyer

Patricia Jernigan Meyer, 75, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on June 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born on April 27, 1951, in Macon, Georgia. She maintained relationships with close friends and family, many of whom had known her for decades.

She attended the University of Illinois Chicago and spent her entire professional career—spanning more than 30 years—at United Airlines, where her intelligence, dedication, and work ethic were deeply valued.

Affectionately known as “PJ” to her loved ones, Patricia was a lifelong learner. She pursued studies at The Art Institute of Illinois and William Rainey Harper College, and continued taking community courses throughout her life.

Patricia had an innate ability for art, and her work was beautiful. She explored different mediums over time expanding her creative expressions.

PJ lived most of her life in Illinois and raised her children with her late husband. After his passing, she lived in both Georgia and San Diego spending meaningful time in each place with her children and grandchildren, who live in both locations. For the last 15 years of her life, she was known as “GG,” a name given to her by her grandchildren. Her grandchildren loved her immensely and her memory with love on with them for generations to come.

She is survived by her three children, Amanda, Melissa, and Mason, her grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Meyer; her mother, Frances; and her siblings Rose, Alberta, Merchuria, and West.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all those who have offered love, support, and condolences during this time. Your kindness and thoughtfulness are deeply appreciated.
