Patricia Brockway

Patricia Ann Brockway (nee Madden) was born to John Francis Madden, Jr and Madeline Marie Spada in Jamaica, NY on August 9, 1944. She passed to her heavenly reward on May 16, 2026, in Johns Creek, Georgia.

Pat grew up and married Wes Brockway in Tampa, FL, on May 8,1965. She attended and graduated from the Academy of the Holy Name in 1962 in Tampa, received her RN in May 1965, at Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans, and was awarded a BSN in Kailua, HI in 1991. She was certified as a critical care nurse and served in ICU/CCU, PACU, and surgical services in Florida, Texas, Maryland, and Hawaii until her retirement in 2015 in Homosassa, FL.

Pat was an avid reader, adored the beach, and loved to travel with Wes, visiting the seven Continents, numerous countries around the world, and 43 of the United States. She volunteered as Treasurer of the National Association of Post Anesthesia Nurses, as a school and church nurse, was a greeter and counselor with the AARP Tax Aide Program and was on-call as “nurse Pat” to family and neighbors wherever she lived.

The center of her life were her three daughters, Becky Schultz (John), Debi Chilson (Craig) and Kristi Fazioli (Marc) who she raised as strong, independent women. Later her focus was on her 11 grandchildren (Schultz’s - JW, Katrina, Austin, Nick, Samanta, Sonya, Leon; Chilson’s – Tanner, Brach Ann; Fazioli’s – Celeste, Aidan). Most recently the loves of her life were great granddaughters, Ana and Eloise.

The family is grateful for the dedicated care of the nurses and aides of Sympathy Hospice Care and the staff of Glenncrest (formally Sunrise) Senior Living, Johns Creek, memory care.

A Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated by Fr, James Juhnson at St. Scholastica Catholic Church in Lecanto, FL, June 30, 2026, before internment at Bushnell National Cemetery.
