Patricia Baumann

–

Fredericksburg, Virginia

Patricia Ann Elizabeth Connor Baumann, 87, passed away on May 22, 2026, from congestive heart failure. She was born on December 10, 1938, in Washington, D.C.,

Patricia lived a life marked by love, strength, kindness, and devotion to her family and friends. Patricia was the oldest of Paul and Vivian Connor’s ten children. Raised in Brentwood, Maryland, participated in the Civil Air Patrol, and graduated from Northwestern High School. She married her husband, Charles Baumann, at Saint James Catholic Church in Mount Rainier, Maryland. Together, they raised their six children in the Northern Virginia communities of Woodbridge and Stafford.

Ever active as a volunteer, Patricia was a Girl Scout leader and supportive parent known to assist with her children’s activities, booster clubs and making costumes for school plays. Later she served as president of the Women’s Club at Saint William of York Catholic Church. Most recently, she also enjoyed making crocheted and sewn projects for the Fredericksburg-area From the Heart organization.

Patricia’s career included working at the U.S. State Department while in high school, commuting to Remington Rand in D.C. as a young mother and retiring from the Contel phone company, where she was one of the first female linemen.

“Trisha Ran” loved visiting her family, going to antique stores, collecting Bossons, researching genealogy, reading, participating in book clubs, and traveling the world with her family. She touched countless lives with her generosity, wisdom, and caring spirit. Patricia was known for her warmth, grace, humor and unwavering dedication to those she loved. Whether through quiet acts of kindness, words of encouragement, or the comfort of her presence, she created lasting memories for everyone fortunate enough to know her. She will be remembered most as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, relative, and friend whose family meant everything to her.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Vivian; her husband, Charles; her son, James; and her siblings, Susan and Paul, who welcomed her home in eternal peace. She is survived by her family, who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts: her son, Christopher; her daughter-in-law, Tina, widow of her son James; her daughter, Edyth, and son-in-law, Steven; her son, Dominic, and daughter-in-law, Katie; her daughter, Katherine, and son-in-law, John; and her daughter, Rebecca, and son-in-law, Carlos; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her seven siblings: Margaret, Ruth, Mary, Judith, Deborah, Charles, and Joseph, along with cherished extended family.

The funeral will be held at St. William of York Catholic Church in Stafford, VA at noon on Friday-July 10th.  Burial at Quantico National Cemetery at 1:30PM.

Memorial/reception details to come.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or that acts of kindness be performed in her memory. May she rest in peace.
