Nelda Joy McMullen

Nelda Joy McMullen, 75, of Cumming, GA died at Northside Hospital Forsyth on March 8, 2012. Born in Groesbeck, TX, she was the daughter of the late Homer and Winnie Dossey. She is also predeceased by her beloved husband, John B. McMullen, Sr. and cherished son, John B. McMullen, Jr. Nelda was a long time member of First Redeemer Church and was a member of the Morning Glories Group. She also taught Sunday School for 25 years. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Lynn McMullen of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron McMullen; and several nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, March 12, 2012 in the McDonald and Son Chapel. The Rev. Mike Schmid will officiate. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 11 from 5:00 8:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to First Redeemer Church.
