Nancy White

Nancy Richards White was born on February 1st,1932 in Charlotte, North Carolina. She passed away May 3rd, 2025. She was the daughter of Daniel Snowhill Richards and Nanie Leese Richards.

Nancy's greatest joy was being a loving mother to her 3 daughters. She had a determined spirit that never gave up even when things were hard. Nancy had a lot of responsibility that she took on alone as a single parent of 3 young girls. She had a knack for turning a necessary task into a fun adventure. Nancy worked hard to make sure her girls lived in a safe neighborhood with good schools. Hard work and showing up to help others were Christian values she wanted to teach her daughters. Nancy taught her girls that a strong work ethic and getting a good education were important.

Nancy took her girls to church and wanted them to know Jesus Christ was our savior. She remained positive and determined even when she encountered people who were unwelcoming.

Nancy was an airline stewardess, a real estate agent, an awesome Mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved the simple things like spending time with family, the smell of gardenias, big band music and spoiling grandkids and her dog Sparkie. Her greatest quality was her ability to say "Thank you" and keep going when she faced obstacles and physical pain. Nancy had a heart for others!

Nancy is predeceased by her father Daniel Snowhill Richards, her mother Nanie Leese Richards, her sisters Mary Etta Richards Buchanan, Hilda Ruth Richards Griffis and her brother Daniel Snowhill Richards Jr.
Nancy is survived by her 3 daughters Jackie Waggamon(David), Lisa Webber (Steve), Joanne Russell (Chris). She is also survived by her 7 grandchildren Katie Waggamon, Michael Waggamon, Caroline Webber, Kimberly Webber, Emily Fairfield (Brandon), Anna Kazlow (Jake), Matthew Russell (Katherine), great-grandchildren Maggie Fairfield, Morgan Fairfield, Caleb Kazlow, and soon to arrive Sam Kazlow.

Chapel Service will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 9:00am. Interment will follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
