Cumming, Georgia
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Michael Alan McClure, affectionately known as Dad, Mike, Mac, or Gramps to those closest to him. Born September 19, 1954, in Fort Riley, KS, and having resided in Cumming, Georgia, Michael was a dedicated husband, a loving father, and a supportive grandfather. His life was a testament to the values he held dear: reliability, dedication, love, and support. Michael's unwavering devotion to his family, his steadfastness in faith, and his commitment to his community left an indelible mark that will continue to inspire us all.
Michael spent his distinguished career at AT&T before enjoying a well-earned retirement, during which he passionately pursued his hobbies of following the horses, fishing, coaching football, and most importantly, cheering on his grandsons, Lane (16), Henry (16), and Keigan (13). He was a pillar of strength and source of joy for his family, including his loving wife of many years, Nina McClure; his cherished daughters, Tara (Don) Kreinbrink and Molly (Keith) Wallis; his adoring sisters, Jane, Mimi, Amy and their families; and his dear Aunt Phyllis Stanken. He now joins his parents, Edgar and Gayle McClure, in heavenly rest. As we remember Michael's life, we are reminded of the verse from the Book of Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." Michael's light surely shone brightly, illuminating the lives of all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at 2:00 pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia, 30040. We encourage everyone to leave memories and upload photos to Michael's memorial page, as a tribute to a life well-lived and a man well-loved.
