Michael Gunn

Michael Gunn, age 68, of Cumming, Georgia, passed away on May 23, 2024.

Michael was born on January 15, 1956, to the late Lundy and Jo Gunn, in Memphis, Tennessee.

He is survived by his loving wife, Debra Gunn; children: Bo Gunn, Andrew Dorsey, Alicia Higginbotham, and Rita Dorsey; siblings: Tom Gunn, Lundy R. Gunn Jr. and Joree Brownlow; and grandchildren: Cullen and Winston.

His life was one filled with love for many things, including his family whom he loved deeply, and his friends whom he cherished. In addition, Mike really loved music, more specifically Jazz and the Blues. He attended Jazz festivals in New Orleans in their beginning phases and later in life actually joined the Blues Society of Atlanta. Michael was also a lover of cars and will also be remembered for his endeavors as a business man, being the CEO of his company GunnCo. He will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, beginning at 10:00am, in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. A memorial service to honor his life will begin at 11:00am, immediately following the visitation.
