Michael (Mike) C. Daigle, Jr.
February 2, 1983 – November 26, 2023
Michael was born in Louisiana, but spent most of his life in Georgia. He loved LSU football, and also
Atlanta Braves baseball. He was the glue that held everybody together and kept everyone in check. He
had high standards, but he wanted the best for you as much as for himself. Throughout his life, he
remained steadfast and dedicated to his beliefs and values. He was known for the passion with which
he spoke of things that he loved and disliked. Family always remained his priority. He also was a
foodie, always looking for interesting and very tasty places to enjoy new food, but it was also about the
friends and companions with which he enjoyed the meal. He enjoyed making friendships with many of
his co-workers who also became a second family to him, sharing in many mutual hobbies and activities
outside of work.
Michael is survived by his parents, siblings, and sister-in-law, as well as nieces and nephew. He is also
survived by his paternal grandmother of Louisiana, and extended family of uncles, aunts, and cousins
in Georgia, Louisiana, Texas, Alabama, North Carolina, and Maryland. He is preceded in death by his
paternal grandfather, his maternal grandmother and grandfather of Louisiana.
The funeral Mass for Michael will be on December 12th at 2:30pm, at St. Catherine of Siena Roman
Catholic Church, 1618 Ben King Road, Kennesaw, Ga. 30144.
The Inurnment of his ashes will be on December 15th at 1:00pm at the Columbarium at St. Brendan the
Navigator, 4633 Shiloh Road, Cumming, Ga. 30040.
Michael embodied perseverance in times of difficulty, and endured many long days and nights of great
pain battling cancer, so we are grateful that this chapter ended on November 26, 2023, and a new one
began in his spiritual journey. The memories, moments, and love we shared will always remain
cherished in our hearts.
Wisdom 4:7, “But the righteous one, though he die early, shall be at rest.”
In lieu of flowers, please make any donations to the Georgia Special Olympics or Georgia Gun Owners.
