Max Edward Kirby

Max Edward Kirby, 86, of Cumming, GA died on April 19, 2010 at Chestnut Ridge Nursing Center. Born in Dunwoody, GA he was the son of the late Laura and Tolleson Kirby. He was also predeceased by his son, Vic Kirby. A veteran of WWII, Mr. Kirby retired from Complete Auto Transit in Doraville, GA after 30 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jean Taylor Kirby of Cumming, GA; daughter Gina Kirby (Robert Bonner) of Cumming, GA; sister, Maxine Peene Harman of Richmond, VA; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Cumming Baptist Church. The Rev. Dr. Barry Crocker will officiate. The family will receive friends at a reception following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cumming Baptist Church, 115 Church Street, Cumming, GA 30040.
