Mary Kathryn Dinsmore (Callahan)

Mary Kathryn Dinsmore (née Callahan) passed away on February 16, 2025, in Cumming, Georgia. Born on September 14, 1945, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she lived a life marked by dedication to family, faith, and service to others.

Mary Kathryn pursued her education at West Catholic High School before continuing her studies at St. Joseph's Nursing School. Her commitment to caring for others was evident throughout her life and career.

Mary Kathryn is survived by her loving husband, Vincent Dinsmore; their children, Karen Esz (Eddie), Susan Sigman (Charlie), and David Dinsmore (Holly); her cherished grandchildren, Devin Kappie, Matthew Esz, Ryan Esz, Katie Dinsmore, Sarah Sigman, Maggie Esz, and Andrew Sigman; and her sister Margaret Mary Engleman (Harry). She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph and Margaret Callahan.

Mary Kathryn and Vince were married for 55 years and were High School sweethearts. They moved several times before settling in Cumming, GA. They enjoyed playing golf, dancing and traveling together. She created amazing memories for her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest cheerleader and was always on the sideline of their activities. Her love for them was shown all over her face. She greeted everyone she met with a smile. She loved the ocean, and you could find her sitting at the waters edge watching the waves come in and go out.

She was a devoted member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be held on February 24, 2025, at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Dawsonville, Georgia. The family will receive friends at 11:00. The mass will begin at 12:00 pm with Reverand Paul Flood officiating. A reception will follow in Father Higgins Hall. The church is located at 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534. Burial will be at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.
