Marlys Colin

Marlys Tatlock Colin passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2026.

Marlys found great joy in life’s little moments, and lived a life defined by kindness. Her faith and her family were pillars in her life, going to great lengths to nurture and grow both. Marlys was a teacher, a sister, a friend, wife, Mom and Grandma – and no matter how one knew Marlys, her limitless compassion, generosity and love defined each relationship.

Marlys was married to Gordon Erick Colin, and for over 43 years they built a loving home, friendship and family together. Her loved ones are comforted knowing they are reunited again.

Marlys is survived by her loving children, David Ryan Colin and Alyson Elizabeth Colin, and her cherished grandchildren, Caroline Ann Colin and Samuel David Colin. Each of them carries on the gifts from Marlys’s legacy of kindness, creativity, and love.

Marlys will be deeply missed and always remembered for her gentle spirit, generous heart, and the beautiful memories she made with those she loved.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2026 at 2pm in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. Reception will follow the service at the funeral home.
