Mark Joseph Stanlea

Mark Joseph Stanlea, "Uga-A-Boo Boo", "Uncle Grandpa" age 67, of Cumming Georgia, passed away on December 25, 2021. Mark was born in Oakland, California on August 10, 1954. He graduated from Ramapo High School, Spring Valley, New York and continued on to receive his Engineering degree.

Mark was an accomplished golfer, hailing from University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, Mark moved west to California pursuing a sales career in the welding industry, and to make memories in the great outdoors. Mark enjoyed snowboarding, kayaking, whitewater rafting, and camping in his free time. He shared stories of beauty, excitement, and even a little danger from his experiences in the Sierra. Later in life, Mark moved to Georgia to spend time with family and friends. He continued to enjoy sports, dinner parties, good wine, camping, kayaking, and riding his bike.

Mark will be dearly missed by his mother Alice Sugarman, sister and brother Karen and Roger Slater, niece and nephew Melissa and Hal Stanley, and great nieces Kayla and Kaitlyn Stanley, and other friends and family. Mark is preceded in death by his father Jacques Stanlea.
