Marjorie Smith Jenkins

Marjorie Smith Jenkins “Grammy” born August 26, 1926 died on December 12, 2024.

Marjorie was wife to the deceased William E Jenkins and mother to David (Anne) and Suzanne (Alan) grandmother to Michael (Melissa), Jonathan (Sara), Katherine (Glenn) and Marshall, and great grandmother to Lindsey.

Marjorie was completely devoted to her family and would share stories about her parents, and brothers who predeceased her. She stayed in touch with the important people in her life by visiting or by telephone. Born in the Philippines to a military family, she was none the less proud of her southern heritage growing up in Chattanooga, Tn. She was filled with amusing anecdotes that delighted all that knew her. She was extremely talented as an artist, seamstress, builder, real estate developer, and renovator. She refused to believe she would ever get old. She worked on crossword puzzles daily and continuously beat her family at Jeopardy until the end of her life. She loved cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and proudly displayed a photo of herself with Vince Dooley. Marjorie was unique in her ways and will be missed by all those who survive her.
