Marianne Kidd

Marianne Holloway Kidd, age 85, passed away peacefully at her home in Cumming, GA on Friday, September 21, 2018.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Paul Kidd, her father Ray Holloway, step father Augustus Langford and mother, Myrtle Langford.

She is survived by her daughter, Susan Caldwell; son-in-law, Larry Caldwell; son, Steve Kidd; daughter-in-law, Pam Kidd; grandchildren, Jonathan Caldwell wife Kelly Caldwell, Steven Caldwell wife Joanna Caldwell, Christopher Caldwell, Rachel Kidd, Katelyn Findlay husband Erik Findlay, Rebecca Kidd, step grandchildren Michael Copenhaver and Michelle Copenhaver; great-grandchildren, Leah Caldwell, Tyler Caldwell, Bentley Chaffin, John Caldwell, Nova Jane Caldwell and step great grandson Anthony Copenhaver.

Mrs. Kidd was born in New Orleans, LA in 1933. She moved to Atlanta at an early age, attending and graduating from Grady High School. She met her husband John while he was attending The Georgia Institute of Technology and they married on March 21st, 1953.

Mr. and Mrs. Kidd lived and worked in the Atlanta area until 1979 when they moved to Richmond, VA where they continued working until retirement. They moved from Richmond to Flatrock, NC until returning back to Georgia in 2001 to be close to family.

Marianne Kidd was a dedicated wife and mother, an amazing designer and home decorator, a cook worthy of publishing and a close and loyal friend to many. She was loved by all and will be missed.

A Family and Friends visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 25 at McDonald and Son Funeral Home in Cumming GA.

Graveside service will be at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan, GA on September 26 at 11 AM
