Marian Galt

Marian Culpepper Galt (age 83) of Roswell, GA passed away peacefully on March 13th, 2019 with her family by her side.

Marian was born on September 7th, 1935 to Wilbur and Alva Culpepper in Rome, GA. She graduated from Rome High School and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in education at Georgia State College for Women (now known as Georgia College & State University). She later completed a master's degree in education at the University of Georgia. Marian was a media specialist in the Fulton County School System for over 40 years and was known by all to be a passionate educator. She was heavily involved in her church and enjoyed photography, traveling, swimming, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Robert H. Galt, Jr.; her children- Allison (Jeff) Jue, Susan (Bill) Aderhold, and Bobby (Maggie) Galt; her 5 grandchildren- Erik, Megan, Jessica, Madison, and Cole; her great-grandson, Grant; and her sister and brother-in-law, Janice and Ned Owens.

A celebration of life reception will be held at Tam's BackStage in Cumming, GA on Saturday, April 27th, 2019 from 2:00-5:00PM. Friends and family welcome.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in her name to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research or the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
