Margaret Obregon Naranjo

It is with great sadness that the family of Margaret Obregon Naranjo, Age 80, announce she passed away peacefully on November 13, 2018 in Georgia. Margaret (Marge as many people called her), was born on September 7, 1938, in New York City to the late Jose Ruben Obregon and the late Monserrate Obregon. She lived in New York most of her life where she raised her children and worked for the United Methodist Church, before moving to Kissimmee, Florida and later to Alpharetta, GA. Marge will always be remembered for her love of her family and friends (she never met a stranger), tenacity, strength, honesty, wisdom, and courage. She lived life on her own terms and in her own way. Even in her final days she was a source of strength to those around her and brought her family together. She is survived by her two children, David Naranjo and his wife Lynn, and her daughter Lissette Erazo and her husband Alex; 5 grandchildren, Rachel, David and his wife Spenser, Brandon, Evan, and Luke; and her sisters Dora Perez and Rosario Obregon. Marge will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family and dear friends. The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering in New York City on Thursday, November 29th at the RG Ortiz Funeral Home located at 235 W. 72nd Street from 7:00pm-9:00pm. Her funeral mass will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church located at 529 W 121st St, New York, NY 10027 on Friday, November 30th at 10:00am followed by her burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Hawthorne, NY.
