Marcus Herman Strayhorn

Marcus Herman Strayhorn, Sr., 70, of Cumming, GA died at Northside Hospital Forsyth on May 8, 2011. Born in Cumming, GA he was the son of the late Tate and Gennie Strayhorn. Marcus was a great husband and father and will be missed by his family. He is survived by his wife, Mary Strayhorn of Cumming, GA: children, Taylor Marie Strayhorn, Cathy Strayhorn, Mark Strayhorn, Carter (Tracy) Strayhorn and Gennie Srayhorn; sisters, Lila Shumate and Macie Charles; brother, William Strayhorn; and much-loved grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 6:00 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2011 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 6:00 pm prior to the service.
