Marie Marcienne Rose Ange Auclair Lalime passed away in the early morning of March 2, 2015 at the age of 91. Born April 16, 1923 in Quebec, Canada, Marcie married Jean Pierre Lalime in May 1946. While in Canada, they had five children together - Guy, Bernard, Sylvie, Marie and Yves - before moving to Florida in 1959. There, they had another daughter, Annette. Marcie is survived by all of her children, seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as four of her sixteen brothers and sisters. Jean passed away in 2007 in their Boynton Beach, Florida home. Marcie spent most of her life taking care of others. She was a devout Catholic, who regularly attended church. She had a dry sense of humor and an easy laugh, and she loved her family more than anything. On any given holiday or anniversary, you could find more than twenty family members having dinner together around her huge dining table, chairs pulled in from every room in the house, with Jean at one end and Marcie at the other, on the rolling sewing chair Jean had made her. Always generous, it was not unusual for the presents to extend out several feet from under the Christmas tree, especially once the first few great-grandchildren reached the age of appreciating toys. Though Jean was a professional photographer of architecture, their home was always filled with photos of their large family. Marcie had great style. She wore red shift dresses and vintage sunglasses, loved mid-century modern design, and the beauty of her white 1962 Mercury Comet was only matched by the beauty of the short white leather gloves she wore the first time she drove it. Her quick wit made her a fan of quiz shows and her hopeless romanticism made her a fan of soap operas. She sang proudly and somewhat off-key. Marcie had an enthusiasm for life and enjoyed every bit of joy she could find. She only wished happiness and health for everyone and when she smiled at you, it was impossible to be anything but happy. Any phone call with her inevitably ended with her saying, I love you more, to which you could not help but respond, I love you more! Services are scheduled for 11:00 am on Friday, March 6, 2015 in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 6 from 10:00 am until service time.
