Lynne Beth Caldwell

"Everyman's life is a fairy tale written by God's fingers

in which the ending is really the beginning..." Hans Christian Anderson

Lynne was always a teacher at heart. She said she had thousands of kids...and was smart enough to send them home at 3:30 every day!

Lynne Beth Fraser Caldwell, age 79 of Cumming, GA, passed away on Saturday, September 10, 2022, at Celebration Village Forsyth assisted living. Her diabetes and Crohn's disease finally caught up to her.

Lynne was born in Hinsdale, IL, and for most of her life lived in the suburbs of Chicago. She spent her formative years in Naperville, started college at North Central College there, and then graduated from Illinois State University, Normal, IL, with a Bachelor of Science degree. Eventually she also earned a Masters in Education degree. Lynne married Thomas Caldwell and in spite of their divorce, had a soft spot for Tom until the end. After more than 35 years of teaching, mostly 5th grade, which as she said with great love, "was the last year of innocence," she retired, and stayed active, loving her church Bible studies, supporting several missionaries throughout the world, and forging many close friendships. Lynne inherited her father's "moving gene" and loved buying new houses every few years...from Bolingbrook, to Naperville, to Romeoville, and finally to Cumming, GA, four years ago.

Be comforted knowing that God brought us here, He created us and what a joy it is knowing that we will return to be with Him one day...and our loved ones...for eternity. Lynne is in Heaven with her parents Janet and Herbert, her precious Molly, Tom, the host of family members, and most of all, her beloved Jesus Christ! She is survived by Roger and Pat; Gail and Stan; Christopher, Sonia, Damiano and Amedeo; Matthew, Sarah, and Phoebe; Joy, Ryan, Jayden and Daniel; Sarah, Steve, Micheala and Madison; and too many dear friends to count!

Two celebration-of-life services will be held for Lynne: the first on Thursday, September 15, 2022 (viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m.) at McDonald and Son, 150 Sawnee Dr, Cumming, GA 30040; and the second on Tuesday September 20, 2022 (viewing from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., service at 11 a.m.) at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Homes & Crematory, south Naperville (RT 59), 24021 Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, IL 60564. Lynne will be buried with her parents at Lincoln Memorial Park, 675 Route 30, Aurora, IL 60503.

In lieu of flowers, Lynne would appreciate you contributing to Family Promise of Forsyth County, GA, P.O. Box-3305, Cumming, GA 30028 or the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 7023, Merrifield, VA 22116-7023.
