Lynn (McGowan) Bates

Lynn McGowan Bates, age 66, passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents: Martha and Frank McGowan and brothers Pat and Larry McGowan.

Lynn is survived by her daughters: Lori Isham (Ryan) of Cumming, GA and Kristen Davis (Kyle) of Cumming, GA; brothers: Terry McGowan (Sonia) of Dahlonega, GA and Jay Lange (Kathy) of Marietta, GA; grandchildren: Aidan and Olivia; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; as well as extended work family and "adopted" family.

Lynn worked as a Legal Secretary for the Cruser & Mitchell Law firm for more than 18 years. Lynn loved her family and grandchildren more than anything. She enjoyed travelling and the beach and going to Disney World with her grandchildren. Lynn was a huge supporter of UGA football. She was known for her hard work ethic and compassion towards others. She will be missed by a community of people that loved her.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 8, 2020 from 12:00 pm until service time at 2:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home.
