Lorraine McCartt Vickery

Agnes Lorraine McCartt Vickery, 70, of Cumming, GA died on May 19, 2010 at Embracing Hospice House. Born in Spring City, TN she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Sylvania McCartt. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd McCartt and Jack McCartt and sister, Eva Mae Warren. Lorraine retired from Bell South after 40 years of service and was an active member of the Telephone Pioneers. She gave many hours as a volunteer at Children s Hospital of Atlanta and was an avid Georgia Bulldawg fan. She is survived by her daughter, Cheryll (Tracy) Smith of Cumming, GA; son, Kenneth (Linda) Vickery of Dacula, GA; sister, Juanita (Joe) Massey of Grayson, GA; and grandchildren, Chad Smith of Cumming, GA and Matthew Vickery of Dacula, GA. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2010 at the chapel at Bald Ridge Marina. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in memory of Lorraine Vickery be made to Children s Healthcare of Atlanta (www.choa.org).
