"The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." – Psalm 34:18

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Linda Michelle Holbrook, 57, of Cumming, Georgia, who passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving parents, Nancy and Victor Merenuk. She is survived by her loving children, Zack Holbrook (Chelsea) and Brandy Holbrook; and her cherished grandchildren, Ansley and Hudson. She is also survived by her siblings: Dione Regan, Darrie Dumrongkulraksa (Yai), Wes Merenuk (Carol), and Clay Merenuk (Diana). As well as several cousins, extended family members, and a circle of devoted friends who will miss her dearly.

Born on December 15, 1967, Linda brought light and joy to all who knew her. Linda was a beloved wife, nana, sister, and friend who touched many lives with her warmth, compassion, and immense strength. But above all, Linda was a devoted mother. Her children were the center of her world, and she poured her love, energy, and strength into raising them. She was their greatest champion, a constant source of support, and a quiet force of unwavering love. Whether through small everyday gestures or the deep sacrifices only a mother can make, Linda’s devotion to her family was fierce, unconditional, and everlasting.

She had a free spirit and an independent heart. She embraced life on her own terms—unapologetically authentic, always curious, and endlessly giving. Her sense of humor, love of simple joys, and open-hearted nature made her a source of comfort and strength to those around her.

Throughout her life, Linda held various jobs and worked in many different fields, all while remaining deeply dedicated to her family's business. She brought unwavering commitment, a strong work ethic, and a kind heart to everything she did. Her adaptability, generous spirit, and willingness to help others were evident in every role she took on.

Linda will be remembered for her kind heart, selflessness, and strength. Her legacy of love, resilience, and free-spirited soul will live on in all who were fortunate to know her. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to the funeral home to offset funeral expenses.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 10:00am until her funeral service at 1:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home officiated by Rex Byrd. A graveside service will immediately follow at Sawnee View Gardens.
