Leslie Prosser Meier didn't just live life; she seized it. True to her restless spirit, she made an early entrance into the world on March 2, 1961, a full six weeks ahead of schedule. Cradled in the arms of her parents, Jordan and Bessie Mae Cain Prosser, at Kennestone Hospital, Leslie was the epitome of a Marietta girl through and through.
Educated at St. James Day School, Hickory Hills Elementary, Marietta Middle School, and Marietta High School, Leslie's vivacious personality left an indelible mark. Her trademark radiant smile and crystal-blue eyes were the focal point of every class photograph and the highlight of her numerous "escapes to Kennesaw Mountain" with her close-knit circle of friends.
After attending High Point University in North Carolina, Leslie's life took a serendipitous turn when she met Dana Wayne Meier, then a student at Southern Technical Institute. They were united in matrimony on November 1, 1980, at the First United Methodist Church of Marietta. Theirs was not just a marriage but an enduring love story, blessed with three remarkable children, four doting grandchildren, and nearly 43 cherished years together.
For a woman whose first word was "go," a stationary life was never an option. Leslie pursued a dynamic career "On the Go," becoming an esteemed flight attendant with AirTran Airlines. Her love for her job was palpable, as she traversed the skies with a grace and kindness that were nothing short of magnetic. Her ebullient smile was a comfort to travelers and a testament to her joie de vivre.
Even as illness cast its shadow, Leslie remained luminous. She met her challenges with unyielding optimism and the unwavering strength of her faith. The addition of a wheelchair did nothing to diminish her spirit; instead, she turned it into a chariot of joy, chauffeuring her granddaughter around Disney World.
Leslie was a pillar of love and resilience, not only to her husband Dana but also as a protective Mamma Bear to her children and a guiding star to her grandchildren. Her life was a beacon of inspiration to her extended family and everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Leslie leaves behind a loving family: her husband Dana Wayne Meier; children Jessika and Chris Gallagher, Jonathan and Kaitlyn Meier, Joshua and Carly Meier; grandchildren Aden Roberts Meier, Vivian Mae Meier, Kilian Gallagher, and Kinsley Meier; her sister and brother-in-law Karen and James Bullard.
