Leonard Macaluso

Leonard Macaluso, age 84, of Cumming, GA passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side on June 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his wife Grazia Josephine Macaluso and his son Joseph Frank Macaluso.

Mr. Macaluso is survived by his daughters Leonora (Robert Tchack) Macaluso of Cumming, GA and Michelle (Luciano) Ruggiero of Cumming, GA and grandchildren Tricia, Leo, Luciano, Jr. and Gracemarie.

Born in Blufi, Italy, Leonard emigrated to the U.S. in 1966 and lived in Chicago and New York until moving to Cumming in 2010. He worked for 30 years as a master tailor employed by various clothing designers, and then operated a successful business with his wife for an additional 15 years.

Leonard will be remembered as a generous and fastidious man who traveled the world and made friends wherever he went. An avid gardener and lover of fine music, he also played the trumpet and accordion. He adored and loved his grandchildren with all his heart.

Leonard's funeral will be held on Friday, July 1st at 11:00am at the McDonald and Son chapel. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30th from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. Entombent will follow the service Friday at Sawnee View. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National Kidney Foundation https://www.kidney.org/support.
