Laurine Haynes McCorkle

Laurine Haynes McCorkle, 80, of Loganville, GA passed away on August 10, 2010. She was the youngest of eleven children born to the late David Mathis and Bertie Mae Haynes. Laurine was also preceded in death by her husband, Lt. Cdr. William J. McCorkle, USN; brothers, Gardner C. Haynes, Emmett Haynes and Jack Haynes; sisters, Evelyn Smith, Leottis Dudley, Etoyle Thomas, Lessie Ayers and Rachel Harris. Laurine is survived by her daughters, Pamela G. (Ken) Knuycky of Loganville, GA and Karen M. (David) DeLamater of Cumming, GA; brother, James Haynes of Toccoa, GA; sister, Doris Stafford of Snellville, GA; grandchildren, Chris Louis, Kim Norwood, Jennifer Louis and Laurine DeLamater; great-granddaughters, Summer and Hayden Louis; great-grandsons, Joey and Luke Norwood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday, August 16, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. Jim Martin will officiate. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA. The family will receive friends on Monday, August 16 from 10:00 am 12:00 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
