Kevin Scott Lombard

–

Cumming, Georgia

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Kevin Scott Lombard, 54, on February 1st, 2023. Kevin was battling congestive heart failure and waiting on the heart transplant list, but unfortunately suffered too many complications for his miracle to happen. Kevin was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend and will be deeply missed. Kevin is preceded in death by his father Larry Ronald Lombard and sister Lari Lynn Lombard. Kevin is survived by his wife Jennifer Watts Lombard, daughters Becca, Ryley, and Emily, and sons JD, Sean, and Cooper. He is also survived by his mother Cynthia (Hallock) Lombard and siblings, Janeen (Lombard) and Randy Anderson, Ron and Catherine Lombard, and Liz (Lombard) and Billy Peek, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews.

Kevin was born in 1968 at Camp Pendleton, California to Larry and Cynthia (Hallock) Lombard. Their family of 7 resided in Taylor Michigan for most of his early childhood where he attended Blair Moody Elementary, West Middle, and Kennedy High School where he excelled at sports. The family relocated to Alpharetta Georgia in 1983 where Kevin attended Milton High School. Kevin always loved working with his hands and taking care of people, and began his long career in the automotive industry at Ed Voyles Acura in 1991 and worked there for nearly 30 years. Kevin started as a valet, became a tech, and then served many years as the service manager where countless individuals came to rely on him for his honesty, sense of humor, and personal attention that he offered to everyone he met.

Kevin met Jennifer in 2014, and combined their families in a new set of adventures, and married in October of 2021. Kevin truly lived life to the fullest through life's simple pleasures: appreciating a beautiful sunset, watching a good documentary, or enjoying a glass of wine on the front porch. He loved anything outdoors: camping, kayaking, hiking, photography and especially exploring creeks, streams, and the lakes of Georgia. He enjoyed music, a good card game, and time around a bonfire with the people he loved. Kevin was the life of the party and his contagious laugh and witty sense of humor brought smiles and created lasting memories for all that knew him.

Kevin felt very strongly about being an organ donor and although he was not able to get his miracle heart due to complications, he was able to be a donor himself after his passing. He continually encouraged others to make the important choice to become a donor.

Kevin would have wanted to honor his life with music, laughter, and joy. A Celebration of life will be held outdoors at Accent Cellars Winery, 215 Auraria Rd, Dahlonega, GA on Sunday, May 28th from 7:00-10:00 pm.
