–

Cumming, Georgia

Kenneth Eugene McLendon, age 66, of Cumming, Georgia passed away suddenly on February 8, 2024, with friends and family by his side.

Kenneth was born on May 6, 1957 in Rome Georgia, and grew up in Douglasville, Georgia. He attended Douglas County High School and Truitt McConnel College, and retired from Young Refinery. He spent several years taking care of his beloved parents.

Kenneth was a loving father and husband, who enjoyed spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He had two sons and four grandchildren who he adored. He married his wife Cindy four years ago. Shortly after, they joined, and were Baptized at, Friendship Baptist Church in Cumming, Georgia, where Kenneth attended Sunday School, Brotherhood, Bible Study, and sang in the choir. They enjoyed traveling, camping, and spending time with family, and their fur babies.

Kenneth is preceded in death by his parents Doug and Betty Jo McLendon. He is survived by his wife Cindy McLendon, his sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Melissa McLendon, and Matt and Kim McLendon, grandchildren Matison, Kohen, Dylan, and Parker McLendon, and Robbie Ayers, sisters Lynn McLendon Hawkins and Gay McLendon Goolsby, his dear brother-in-law Paul Goolsby, his brother Sammy McLendon, sister-in-law Christi McLendon, and several nieces and nephews who he adored.

Kenneth loved, and was loved by, so many people. Our hearts are broken. Please continue to pray for peace and comfort, knowing we will see him again in Heaven, where he is in the loving arms of his Savior.
