Georgia.

Kathryn was born on June 29, 1946, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Robert and Rosalie (nee

Bilderback) Fields. She married William Virgil Walter on November 26, 1966, at Wallen Baptist

Church in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Kathryn grew up in Fort Wayne, graduating from North Side High School in 1964, and lived in

the Fort Wayne area until relocating to Georgia in 2016.

Kathryn was a born-again Christian who dearly loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She

was active in various churches and church choirs/orchestras, including Blackhawk Baptist

Church (1976-1995) and Tri Lakes Baptist Church (1995-2016). Kathryn enjoyed singing and

playing the flute, saxophone, and handbells. She was an avid crafter and sewer throughout her

life. She was primarily a homemaker, and once the boys were grown, she returned to

employment in various office clerk roles in healthcare and special needs settings.

Due to the distance and age of many close relatives and friends, there will be no funeral or

memorial service. Please feel free to leave condolences, comments, and favorite memories of

Kathryn on social media. Cards may be sent to William Walter, 4325 Alta Dr., Apt. 2311,
