Kathryn Sue (McCarl) Stevens Obituary (1953 - 2023)

Kathy Stevens, 69, of Cumming, GA, passed away on Friday, April 21st, 2023. Visitation will be 6:00pm - 8:00pm, Monday, April 24th, 2023 at McDonald and Sons Funeral Home located at 150 Sawnee Dr., Cumming, GA 30040. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 25th, 2023, at 10:00am. Burial will be held at Sawnee View Gardens following the service. Kathy Stevens was born in Keokuk, IA to Richard and Betty McCarl on September 23, 1953. She married her sweetheart Charles H. Stevens, Jr. in her early twenties and they maintained their love for the next forty plus years. Kathy was a homemaker for the majority of her life, and was a wonderful mother to her children and an amazing grandmother to her grandchildren. She loved her family deeply. Kathy and Charlie were avid motorcycle riders for many years most recently with the North Georgia Mountain Riders. When she wasn't spoiling her grandchildren she would travel back to her hometown to spend time with her parents, sisters and brother. Kathy is preceded in death by her granddaughter Alyssa Stevens. Kathy is survived by her husband Charles H. Stevens, Jr., children Chuck Stevens (Patty), Todd Stevens (Michelle) and Julie Pare (Jay), parents Richard and Betty McCarl, sisters Vicky Mitchell and Tammy Hanson, brother Rick McCarl, grandchildren Payton Stevens, Bryer Stevens, Eden Hardy, Torin Stevens, Rilan Stevens, Jaycub Pare, Lucas Pare and Lyla Pare. Pallbearers will be Torin Stevens, Rilan Stevens, Payton Stevens, Bryer Stevens, Jaycub Pare and Drew Pelton. A Celebration of Life memorial reception will be held at Todd and Michelle Stevens' home (please contact one of the family members to obtain the address) immediately following the burial service. :
