Kathleen Cook Foye

Kathleen Cook Foye, 70, of Cumming, GA died on April 16, 2011 at Embracing Hospice House following a courageous fight with esophageal cancer. Born in New York City, she was the daughter of the late John J. Cook, Sr. and Mary Cleary Cook. Kathleen earned her RN at St. Francis Hospital School of Nursing in Poughkeepsie, NY and worked as an oncology nurse and later as a case manager. An active member of St. Brendan Catholic Church, she was also an avid bridge player. Her special attention was reserved for her beloved husband, children and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Edward J. Foye, Sr. of Cumming, GA; son, Edward J. (Amy) Foye, Jr. of Alpharetta, GA; daughters, Karen (John) Murray of Alpharetta, GA and Jennifer (Richard) Gravely of Alpharetta, GA; brothers, John J. (Joette) Cook, Jr. of Wellsley, MA, William J. (Colleen) Cook of White Plains, NY, Lawrence T. (Suzie) Cook of Milford, CT and Robert W. (Debra) Cook of Mebane, NC; grandchildren, Shane, Megan, Madeline, Matthew, Meredith and Ryan; and a loving extended family. Memorial mass will be held at 9:30 am on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at St. Brendan Catholic Church. Interment will be held at 1:30 pm on April 29 at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.
