Katherine Lamey

Katherine Gaines Lamey, 91, of Toccoa, passed away peacefully Thursday evening Jan. 2, 2025.

She was the last living member of the family of 10 children. She was a hard worker and had been employed in various jobs, often as a sewer. She was an avid gardener, growing vegetables in her backyard, as well as various flowers including her favorite Marigolds.

She was a faithful member of her church and loved her Lord. She read the Bible regularly and often listened to sermons on the radio. She was blessed to have three wonderful grandchildren that gave her much love and joy.

She was previously married to Clyde Harkins and later to William Lamey.

She is survived by her son Mike Harkins, daughter-in-law Terri, and grandchildren Michael, Haley and Laci, of Alpharetta.

We will miss her, but we will see her again when we meet her and our Saviour in Heaven.
