Katherine B. Haley

Katherine (Kay) Haley, beloved, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother, gracefully passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014. She was born in 1925, in New York, NY to the late Michael Butler and the late Catherine Lennon Butler, with her twin sister Mary and younger sister Margaret. As a teenager, the family moved to Lowell, MA, where she graduated from Lowell High School. Kay worked at Hood Milk Company in Lowell for many years. She later became office manager for E.A. Wilson Company on Broadway Street until she retired in 1990. Kay is survived by a large, loving family, including her devoted husband Fred Haley since 1950, three children and their spouses, Fred Haley Jr. (Toula), Kathy (Haley) Perreault (Raymond) son Jim Haley (Sue). Kay felt blessed to have known her all of her seven grandchildren, Janet Haley, Jennifer Haley, Melissa (Perreault) Robinson, Katie (Perreault) Spence, Tricia (Haley) Babinski, Jimmy Haley, Joellen (Haley) Huggins: nine great grandchildren: Rylee Landry, Palmer Robinson, Bryanna Babinski, Mathew Babinski, Gage Haley, Talon Haley, Brolin Haley, Beckett Haley, Janelle Huggins; and one great-great granddaughter, Kaigan Babinski. She was also a welcome member of the Haley family by her sisters-in-law, Patricia (Haley) Hall, Gabrielle (Haley) McEvoy and the late Ruth (Haley) Quealy, and the late Rita (Haley) Goveia. Visitation hours will be 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Wednesday, January 22nd at Dolan Funeral Home, 106 Middlesex Street, North Chelmsford MA. A funeral mass will be held at St. Margaret s Catholic Church, 374 Stevens Street, Lowell MA at 9:30 AM on Thursday, January 23rd followed by burial at St. Patrick s Cemetery, Lowell MA.
