THOMAS - Justin James Thomas - 47, of Dawsonville, GA, died Monday evening at Northside Hospital in Sandy Springs, Ga. Justin's battle with neuro endocrine carcinoma was brief but he was a guy who met the tough things in life head-on. Justin knew he was ready to meet Jesus, and his familiar saying "it's not what we want, but we are gonna roll with it" came into play. He left this earth so peacefully and with his family and extended family holding his hands as he crossed over Jordan. When we think of what Justin is seeing now, we wouldn't call him back.
Justin was predeceased by his father, James F. (Jim) Thomas, his uncle Harry E. Horne, and aunt Inell R. Smith, and his aunt Francis S. Horne. He is survived by his Mother, Gwendolyn Horne Pra, and his Stepdad Richard P. Pra, Sr. of Dawsonville; his fiancee Stacey Ann Stewart; an uncle Kenneth W. Horne (Donna); two step brothers - Richard Pra, Jr., of Denver, CO, and Robert Pra, of Southwest Florida. A lifelong Florida Gator fan and the best cat dad ever to Mr. Marley, Justin was born in Jacksonville where he resided until 2013 when he relocated to North Georgia. Here, he met the love of his life, Stacey Stewart. His work at City Plumbing & Electric Supply in Dawsonville was a source of pleasure for him and he loved the company for its principled environment. Justin also leaves His extended family in Cumming, Mike and Myra Walsh, as well as his best friend, Hank Tidd, and a multitude of cousins in the Dowling and Thomas families.
Justin's spirit of kindness, his quick wit and dry sense of humor will be missed by every single person who knew him.
