June Tomoko Blackburn

June T. Blackburn, 94, of Buford, GA went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday September 17, 2015. She was surrounded by loved ones when she was called home. June was born June 19, 1921 in Freemont, California. She was the second of seven children. She attended First Baptist Church of Buford. June was Executive Assistant to the Director of Nursing at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, GA and retired from Civil Service at Fort Gordon, GA after 30+ years of distinguished service at Ft. Stewart, Hunter AFB, and FT. Gordon. She is survived by her children, Marlin and Susan Blackburn, of Sugar Hill, GA, and grandsons Rusten Blackburn of Salt Lake City, Utah and Merik Blackburn of Duluth, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. Her memorial service will be held Saturday September 26, 2015 at 10:00 AM at Sugar Hill United Methodist Church with Pastor Jeff Coleman officiating. Friends are invited to attend.
