Judith Barber

Our beloved matriarch has gained her wings. Judith Barber passed away on August 29, 2026 peacefully at her home The Retreat in Jasper GA. She was the heart of our family, our safe place, our source of strength. She had a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and cared for. Though our hearts are heavy with the loss of such a precious soul, we find comfort in knowing that her love and legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever be a blessing, and she will remain in our hearts until we meet again.

Preceded in death by her husband Charles "Charlie" Barber, along with her son Jerry Bradford Bowen.

Judith is survived by her sons Jim (Linda) Bowen of Dawsonville, Ga. Jeff (Stephaine) Bowen of Alpharetta, Ga. Grandchildren Tony (Brittany) Bowen of Canton, Ohio. Julie (Scott) Gold of Jasper, Ga.

Kelly Storms of Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Great-grandchildren Victoria Bowen, Jaxon Bowen, Jay Gold, Tyler Bowen, Averee Gold, Makayla Storms, and Camden Mainville.

The family welcomes all who knew and loved Judith to a visitation on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 3:00pm at McDonald & Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia, 30040. The funeral service will follow at 4:00pm at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at 10:00am at the Georgia National Cemetery, 1080 Scott Hudgens Drive, Canton, Georgia, 30114.
