Joseph Francis Morrison

Mr. Joseph Francis Morrison, age 67, of Suwanee, GA, passed away after a battle with Covid just before sunset on Saturday, January 14, 2023.

Joe was born on December 23, 1955, in Algonac, MI. to Bo and Kate Morrison. His family moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL when Joe was 3 years old. Joe attended and graduated from Stranahan High School in 1974. Joe worked as a carpenter in south FL until 2005 when he and his wife moved to Suwanee GA. Joe worked for WH BASS as a Project Superintendent until the end of 2020 when he retired.

Joe enjoyed playing golf, fishing, playing with his dog Gunner, tending his Christmas Cactus's, and watching and feeding his visiting Humming birds.

Joe is survived by his beautiful wife of 37 years, Helen (Sweet Pea), his brother Tim Morrison (wife Teresa), sister Barbara Braun (Husband Gerry). Sister in Laws Marry Tyminski, Barbara Tyminski, Doreen Gianetti (husband Joseph), and Elaine Pechnik (husband Ed) and a grandniece Ester Uptergrove. Joe is also survived by nieces Stephanie Morrison and Christy Uptergrove (husband Josh), nephews Gerry Braun Jr. (wife Lacie), Charlie Braun and Ethan Morrison. Joe is preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Lynda Morrison and Kathy Bennett.

Arrangements are in the care of McDonald and Son Funeral Home, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, GA. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Disabled American Vets.
