Joseph Glaeser, Jr.

Cumming, Georgia

Joseph Douglas Glaeser, Jr. passed away on July 10, 2018

Joseph is survived by his wife of 47 years, Maureen Elizabeth Wharton, his son Joey Glaeser, brother Douglas E. Glaeser (Patti) of Rockaway, New Jersey and sister Linda Rosevear of Whitehall, Pennsylvania.

Joseph was a lifelong musician who attended the Naval School of Music and played Trumpet in the 30th Army Band, stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany during the Vietnam War. He worked as a corporate financial consultant with Merrill Lynch and Paine Webber, and in his spare time volunteered as a golf coach for the Police Athletic League in Alpharetta, Georgia. Joe was a baseball fanatic and his friends would tell you he was the world's biggest fan of the New York Yankees--especially Mickey Mantle.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 3:30 in the afternoon at Roswell Funeral Home. His remains will be inurned at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, GA.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society.
