Joseph Caputi Jr

Joseph Victor Caputi Jr. passed away on Monday, July 20th, 2026.

Joseph Victor Caputi Jr. was born in New Jersey in 1947 to Joseph Victor Caputi Sr and Ann Caputi.

He proudly served his country, in the Navy, in the 1960's. Stationed out of Passaic New Jersey, his heart belonged to the Navy and he took great pride in the time he spent on the USS Wasp, the USS Essex and the USS Pine Island.

Joseph was a golfer, a tennis player and a college football fan. He loved his Notre Dame Fighting Irish. Of course, when not rooting his Irish on, he was rooting for the Midshipman.

Joseph, although at times stubborn, had a good heart. He had a great sense of humor, was quick witted and could make just about anyone laugh. He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his brother, Mark Caputi, his son Joseph W. Caputi and his two daughters Kassie Elizabeth Sharkey and Angela Renee Caputi.

A service with Navy Honors will be held at Georgia National Veteran's Cemetery on Wednesday, August 12th, 2026 at 12:30pm.

For family and friends that plan on attending the service please arrive at the funeral home at 10:15am on the day of the service.
