Jonathan Griffith

–

Cumming, Georgia

A quiet observer of dry wit who pondered much, Jon is a published author of short stories and humor. Jon Griffith loved golf, his A flat harmonica, science, the mountains, hunting, and most of all, his dogs. Having spent his twenties working in the oil fields of Texas after graduating from UGA, Jon pursued a second degree and then his masters @ Georgia State to become not only a licensed professional geologist, but a licensed professional engineer and then for the G-Dot. As badge holders, going to the Masters for the entire week was an annual tradition he shared with our father.

Just shy of 63, with Blaze & Dixie II by his side, Jon's heart gave out. Safe in the arms of Jesus, no doubt, he was greeted by Cleet, Hilda, Dixie, Buster, Sugar, and RCA who have been waiting for him at the "Rain-Bow Bridge," as well as our parents, and many more on those streets of gold in Beula Land.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Leona Griffith and father, Nelson Griffith. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Hannah and Charles Wildner; nieces Meghan Wildner Cruz, Mary Wildner, and nephew Charles Wildner Jr.. A memorial tribute may be viewed at www.wei.smugmug.com
