John Michael Strickland

John Michael Strickland, 53, of Gainesville, GA died at home surrounded by family on September 16, 2016. Born in Madrid, Spain he was the son of Bobby and Gerda Strickland of Bainbridge, GA.

John was an active member of The Church of the Good Shepherd. He was a loving son, husband, father and brother who will be greatly missed by his family.

In addition to his parents, John is survived by his wife, Susan "Lee" Strickland and children, Corey and Sydney of Gainesville, GA: brother, Chuck (Karen) Strickland of Arizona; sister, Nancy (Randall) Kennedy of Climax, GA; and a loving extended family and friends.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, September 19, 2016 at The Church of the Good Shepherd. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 18 from 1:00 - 3:00 pm and from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Society (www.pancan.org).
