John Crafts Draper

John (Jack) C Draper, 87, of Cumming GA, passed away on September 2nd surrounded by family. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked 36 years at Wisconsin Southern Gas Company in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin when he retired. In retirement he worked at Ace Hardware on a part time basis for 16 years. He was a long time member at St. Benedicts Catholic Church in Fontana, Wisconsin and a member of St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church in Cumming, Georgia. His favorite past time was collecting postage stamps, playing bridge and fishing. He was an avid supporter and stockholder of the Green Bay Packers. One thing Jack loved to do was talk to people and make them laugh. He always said "if you can't laugh at yourself, then you're just taking life too serious folks".

He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann Draper, to whom he was married to for 65 years. He was the proud father of seven children, twenty-two grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Children are Emily Huebner and husband Denny, John Draper and wife Nancy, Mark Draper and wife Renee, Vickie Flask, Larry Draper, Mary Hornaday and husband Bill and Cindy Draper. Grandchildren are John Huebner, Laura Baker, Chris Draper, Jessica Ryan, Michael Draper, Fr. Tim Draper, Katie Draper, C.J. Flask, Dr. Joseph Flask, Josh Flask, Tommy Draper, Angela Draper, Jimmy Draper, Ben Mulhern, Colin Mulhern, Mallory Mulhern, Michael Anton, Michael Hornaday, Katie Hornaday, Robert Hornaday, Matthew Hornaday and Caroline Hornaday. Great-grandchildren are Claire Draper, Isabel Draper and Lily Baker.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, William and Helen Job Draper, his brother Bill, and a great-grandchild, Elizabeth Draper.

Funeral services will be held at St. Brendan the Navigator Catholic Church on Tuesday, September 6th at 11:00 am. St. Brendan is located at 4633 Shiloh Road, Cumming, Georgia 30040. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 5th from 4 pm to 6:00 pm at McDonald and Son Funeral Home located at 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming, Georgia 30040.
