John Campbell

John Allen Campbell was born in Palatka, Florida on May 9, 1960 to George (Jr.) and Martha Campbell. At age 64 he went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

He attended elementary, middle and high school in several different states, graduating from Concord High School in Concord, NC. After high school he attended Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Ok and later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Finance from Georgia State University. He also earned another bachelor’s degree in Biology from Georgia Gwinnett College later in life.

John was a longtime employee first at Sun Trust Bank, then at Walgreens.

He loved reading, hiking, animals and helping people. He was an elder at the Norcross Presbyterian Church and served on the board of the Norcross Cooperative Ministry as a representative for his church, also volunteering his time to help the Cooperative Ministry in a variety of ways. He also volunteered at a Men’s Shelter.

He is survived by his mother Martha Campbell; brother George Campbell III and his wife Beverly; sister Susan Biggs; niece Danielle Campbell; nephew Brian Biggs and his wife Shelby; nephew Josiah Biggs and his wife Kaili; niece Sarah Berg and her husband Josh; five grand-nieces ( Reyma, Meredith and Halle Berg and Opal and Poppi Biggs) and one grand-nephew (Atticus Berg). He was preceded in death by his father George Campbell Jr., brother-in-law Charles Biggs and sister-in-law Judy Campbell.
