Joe Fister Sr.

Joseph “Joe” Fister, age 68, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2026, following a brief illness. He was born on November 13, 1957.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Betty and Fred Fister III, and his sister, Beth Marchand.
He is lovingly remembered by his son, Joseph Fister, whom he loved deeply and was incredibly proud of. He also leaves behind his siblings: Fred Fister (Susan), Christopher Fister, Matt Fister (Isabella), and Susan Fister. Joe was a proud grandfather to Zoey Skye Fister. He will be fondly remembered by cousins, his many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
Joe cherished the time he spent with his family and friends, both in Georgia and Ohio. He had a passion for playing pool and enjoyed golfing whenever he could. Riding his motorcycle brought him great joy and a sense of freedom. Above all, Joe was known for his kind heart, generosity, and willingness to help others. His warm spirit and gentle nature touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A service to honor Joe’s life will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Dahlonega Funeral Home, 20 Gibson Road, Dahlonega, Georgia 30533.
