Cumming, Georgia
Jane Stuckey, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 78 years old, just five days shy of her 79th birthday.
Born on July 10, 1946, Jane lived a life defined by compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to the well-being of others. She began her professional journey in nursing, where her gentle spirit and healing touch made a lasting impact on patients and colleagues alike. Later, she transitioned into hospital administration, where she brought clarity and leadership to the roles she held. But it was always about the patient. Jane eventually completed her career as a consultant specializing in building hospitals—helping to shape places of healing and care for future generations.
Jane’s servant heart extended beyond her career as she volunteered at a free medical clinic in Dawsonville, Georgia, offering her time, energy, and medical knowledge to those most in need. Her tireless service there touched countless lives and reflected her lifelong calling to serve with humility and grace.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she loved to worship with family and friends.
Jane is survived by her devoted, loving husband, Charlie Stuckey; her best friend and brother Burt (Nancy) Harris; loving sons, Brian (Julie) Roberts and Casey (Jennifer) Roberts; and her adoring grandchildren; Harris (Haley) Roberts, Holt Roberts, West Roberts, Walker Roberts, Vicki Jane (Austin) Casey, Burt Roberts, and Anna Roberts. She was affectionately known as “Nana Jane” to them and to her great-grandchildren, Hughett Roberts and Vera Casey, all who brought her immeasurable joy and pride.
Jane faced her illness with the same strength, faith, and quiet courage that she lived her life. Her legacy is one of a fighter trying help people and see the successes of her grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 6 at 4:00 PM in the chapel at McDonald and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends beginning at 3:00 PM, prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jane’s memory to the American Cancer Society, to support research and efforts in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Nana Jane is already missed. Her life is a shining example of love, care and devotion.
