Jane Cown Glaze

Jane Cown Glaze, 85, of Cumming, GA died on February 19, 2022. Born in Tucker, GA. She was the daughter of the late Robert Fay and Bernice Cown. She is predeceased by her husband, James E. Glaze, Sr., her son, James Glaze, Jr., her sister, Patsy Davis, and brothers, Byron and Tom Cown.

Jane was raised in Tucker and graduated from Tucker High School. She married her husband, James Glaze of Doraville in 1956. They lived on Glaze Drive until 1998 where they raised their five children. Jane worked as a special education bus driver for DeKalb County as well as helping with various tasks at Glaze's Grocery and Hardware stores. She had an enthusiasm for sewing, crafts, gardening, and antiques. Her greatest passion was her love of quilts. She was a charter member of the Chamblee Star Quilt Guild. She made sure that all her loved ones had quilts made with her loving hands.

Jane is survived by her sons, Randy J. (Lee) Glaze of Cumming, GA and Mark T. (Kathy) Glaze of Cumming, GA; daughters, Terri (Ray) Weeks of Dunwoody, GA and Jennifer (Dave) Kelly of Cumming, GA; eight grandchildren; Jessica Glaze, Adrian Walton, Lillie Weeks, Jacob Dupont, Brinson Weeks, Claire Weeks, Lorelie Kelly, and Sara Kelly, and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Friday, February 25 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, February 26, 2022 in the chapel of McDonald and Son, 150 Sawnee Drive, Cumming GA 30040.
