James H. "Jim" McAllister, Jr.

Age 83, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 in Cumming, GA.

Born April 18, 1941 in Washington, D.C. Jim was the first born son of James H. McAllister, Sr. and Louise Loughborough McAllister.

His siblings are Joann Kelley (the late Patrick Kelley) Philip McAllister (Mary) and Michael McAllister (Sandi). Jim married his love, Ann, on May 19, 1979 in Uwchland, PA.

Jim joined the Air Force in 1960 and served his country honorably for 4 years, while working in Automated Data and Telecommunications service.

He lived in Virginia and Pennsylvania for most of his adult life before moving to Cumming, GA 9 years ago. He enjoyed living in a warmer climate, surrounded by friends. Jim served as the Chairman of the Landscape Committee for the Villages at Concord Farms.

Jim had a passion for animals and loved caring for his beloved dog, Brandy. He was also very proud of the beautiful pond he built in his backyard, which was home to a large number of Koi.

Jim is survived by, Ann, his wife of 46 years, his children, Shawn and Kevin, his siblings Joann, Phil and Michael. He was preceded in death by his son, the late Charles "Chuck" McAllister.

Arrangements by McDonald Family Funeral Homes, a memorial remembrance will be held in his community on May 1st. His final resting place will be the National Memorial Cemetery at Quantico, Triangle, VA.

Jim will be missed by many, but most of all by his long-time love, Ann.
