James Roy Long

James Roy Long, 74, of Cumming, GA passed away at his home on May 20, 2011. Born in Alpharetta, GA he was predeceased by his parents, Jeff and Hazel Long. Mr. Long was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Alpharetta. He owned and operated Long Upholstery Shop for 42 years. He loved gardening and watching NASCAR. Survivors include his loving wife, Barbara Long of Cumming, GA; son, Gary (Martha) Long of Dahlonega, GA; daughter, Kathy (Kevin) Register of Cumming, GA; son, Tim (Rhonda) Long of Cumming, GA; brother, Donald Long of Ellijay, GA; sister, Shirley Kelly of Cumming, GA; sister, Annette (Tim) Hitt of Cumming, GA; sister, Carolyn (Clifford) Ramey of Cumming, GA; sister Mozelle (Larry) Blalock of Canton, GA; and grandchildren, Chad, Philip, Matthew, Abby, Ashley, and Emma. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday May 23, 2011 at McDonald & Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4:00 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow on Tuesday May 24, 2011 at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens. Rev. Ronnie Loner will officiate.
