James "Jim" Madison Lineberger

James (Jim) Madison Lineberger of Gainesville, GA passed away on March 20, 2023.

Jim was born in 1935 in Macon, GA. He attended Lanier High School and GA Military College, where he played football before he started his career with Bellsouth. Jim married Martha Jo in November 1955. They have three children together, Stan, Teri, and Jeff. In 1969, the family moved to Atlanta, GA where Jim became involved in coaching youth sports. Jim enjoyed attending his kids' and grandkids' sporting events, playing golf, ham radio enthusiast, and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Jo of 67 years and his three children: Stan (Margaret) Lineberger, Teri (David) Cooper, and Jeff (Shannon) Lineberger, Grandchildren Cole (Jessica) Cooper, Lindy (Turner) Herron, Kyle (Lenea) Lineberger, Marc, Stokes, and Sophie, Great Grandchildren Casey, and Rylee Tate.

He is a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Gainesville, GA, where the service will be held on Monday, March 27, 2023, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Grace Episcopal Church or St. Judes's Children's Hospital
